Hey everyone! I decided to start a new feature, inspired by
a giveaway from The YA Bookcase! They did a giveaway where they gave you three
words describing a book and you had to decide whether you think you’d read it
or not, a blind date sort of thing. Well, that was such a cool idea I thought
it’d be fun to do a weekly feature similar to that!
How this works:
I’ll list three or four descriptions of a book without
showing a picture, revealing an author, or the title of the book and you have
to decide that based on how I describe it, whether or not you’d read the book.
All you’ll have to do is answer yes or no! Then the next week I’ll reveal the
book I described and you can decide, depending on your answer, whether it was a
good call or not! The next week I’ll also be describing another book and we’ll
just be repeating the same process. Simple right?
Now here we go!
First it’s time to reveal last week’s book. It was said to
be paranormal, discovering one’s self,
fun. It is…

Born
at Midnight by C.C. Hunter!
One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…
Do you think you made the right call last week?
Now let’s get on to this week’s book:
Dystopian.
Fairy-tale. Enchanting.
Do you think you’d read it? Just let me know! Hope you
enjoyed!
~Kayla~
