March Madness Read-a-thon: Challenge (1)

Hey everyone! As promised I have an acitivity/challenge for this week for March Madness Read-a-thon! Feel free to do it as well or just read mine!

Challenge:
This week I've decided to do the ever entertaining 99 page challenge. I've done it several times for other read-a-thons or just for fun so I figured why not do it for this read-a-thon as well? For those of you who don't know what it is, I'll explain! You grab a book you haven't read it but want to, go to page 99 and read that one page. No more, no less. No looking on, no looking back. You can only read page 99! After reading it you give a brief, non spoilery synopsis of the page and then say whether or not that page made you want to read the book more or not!

This time around I'm doing Pivot Point by Kasie West! It's on my TBR list to read this month for multiple reasons so I'm excited to see if page 99 is any good!

My synopsis: A girl streaked part of her hair blue and immediately regrets it. It's brighter and covers far more space on her head than she intended. She doesn't like it, while her guy friend does, but she refuses to get rid of it because it's a sign of her rebelling against something.

My synopsis is a little short because page 99 just happens to be the beginning of a chapter and I only got to read about half a page, but whatever! Page 99 for Pivot Point doesn't give me a lot of information about anything except the main character is trying to rebel against something. It intrigues me a bit as to why she rebelling and why dying her hair does anything, but it didn't really make me want to read the book any more than I already did. This page 99 is pretty so-so!

This one wasn't all that exciting but hey, they can't all be overly amazing can they? Maybe next time! If you want to give it a try and see if you'll get luckier than I, go pick up a book you haven't read and read page 99! Make sure to give a brief synopsis with no spoilers and tell whether it made you want to read the book even more! You can make your own blog post for it, or just do it in the comments! Whatever works for you! Hope you enjoyed!
