Happy Birthday Jessica!!

The title of this post kind of says it all. Today my friend Jessica, from http://flytofiction.blogspot.com/, turns 17! One year closer to being an adult! Woo! I've only known Jessica a few months but during that time I think we've gotten very close and she's a dear friend to me! I hope you have a wonderful birthday Jess!

We met awhile back during a Twitter party (can't remember what it was for..) and it was more of a acquaintance type deal. Sure we were both bloggers and liked books but we didn't really talk all that much at the time. But then, NCIS came into the picture. If you don't know what NCIS is shame on you! It is only one of the greatest TV shows ever! I loves it. Anyway, I'm a huge fan (in case you couldn't tell) and turns out so was she. Because of that mutual fangirlishness, we talked a little bit more. It started out with Tiva, which is one of my OTPs. Ohmigod I ship them so hard, before I even knew what shipping was! Here's the awesomeness that is Tiva:

(Because undercover totally counts!!)

One more...

*swoons* Dear lord. Tiva is by far the most canon non-canon ship ever made ever. Even if you don't watch the show, you can't not ship them. There's just no way. Jessica and I have fangirled, cried, hugged, flipped out, and everything in between over this ship. I honestly think Tiva is the reason we're so close (I mean, there's other reasons but Tiva is what started it all) and NCIS in general is something we both can talk about together out of the blue anytime and it'd be okay.

The best part about NCIS is that it's not just a kickass crime show with a swoon worthy ship, it has tremendous actors who work amazingly together and characters that act like a family. Even in a short amount of time knowing each other, they care about each other and would lay their life down for each other. That's how it is with me and Jess. I've known her such a short amount of time but I still see her as a very close friend and would do anything for her. So here are some NCIS scenes/quotes that I think not only speaks for their relationships as characters on the show, but my relationship with Jess:

(It means "you are never alone" in Hebrew)

"McLovin you long distance." Tony DiNozzo to McGee. NCIS quotes
(Sorry, this one was just funny)

There are a ton of other examples but these work wonders, I think! Enough gushing. I just want to say Happy Birthday Jess! You're a dear friend of mine and you mean so much to me. I hope you have a fantastical day, you deserve it! Hugs!!

For even more McLovin, here's your hint: She's a fun, young aspiring author who spends most of her time reading and writing. She's a huge YA reader, spending her time reading everything from Pushing the Limits to Cress, Vampire Academy to Ruby Red, and City of Bones to Alice in Zombieland!

Happy 17th birthday Jessica!

  1. AHHHHH, KAYLA!!! THIS POST IS THE EPITOME OF FANDOM, AWESOMENESS, AND FRIENDSHIP. NCIS will always be so special to me, and one of the reasons why is that it led to us becoming really close friends. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me, and I just have to say, all the quotes you picked are SPOT ON. Thank you SO much! <333
